Curtis Whipple Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremonies
At my very first event in 1979, I was privileged to announce a live appearance of Arizona TV legends “Wallace and Ladmo” at my dad’s retail store in Winslow Arizona, I was 14 years old. I think it was the largest retail promotion in the region’s history and it probably hasn’t been matched since. I have done church and school dances, reunions, birthday/graduation/anniversary parties and singles mixers. I have appeared at nearly 100 retail promotions with the Laker Girls around Southern California, 35 Wild Oats/Henry’s Markets Grand Openings all over the United States. I played at the Prom for the California School for the Deaf- if they weren’t deaf before, they are now! There have been too many beautiful weddings to even count. I have played on beaches, on mountaintops, beside streams, in historic buildings, in grand churches and in the finest hotels and golf resorts. I have played at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix Arizona, on the Queen Mary in Long Beach and at the Disneyland Hotel. I played under the nose of Air Force One at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley.
